WINSS Successful School Guide
 Continuous School Improvement
School Improvement Planning Tool

The School Improvement Tool has been developed by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction and the North Central Regional Educational Laboratory for use by school improvement teams. The tool prompts teams through a step-by-step process to identify priorities and develop a school improvement plan through discussion and analysis of current, online school data and links to the WINSS Curriculum Resource Center, a source of information and ideas for improving teaching and learning.

The password-protected tool is specifically designed for use:

  • At the school building level, but can be used by school districts and CESA staff.
  • By Schools Identified for Improvement status to meet federally-required components of a school improvement plan.
  • By schools participating in data retreats.
